Delete a category

Category deletion is subject to the following rules:

  • 3rd level category can be deleted only if it does not contain any offers.

  • 2nd and top level categories can be deleted only if none of their subordinated 3rd level categories contains any offers.

  • 2nd and top level categories can be deleted even if they contain subcategories as long as none of these subcategories contain any offers.

To delete a category:

  1. Locate the category in the category tree and select it. The category gets displayed in the detail tab on the right of the tree.

    Category detail opens by default in the read mode. Stay in this mode.

  2. Click the ... symbol at the right top of the detail tab and select Delete.

  3. A dialog window gets displayed.

    1. If no offers assignments prevent the deletion, click Confirm to delete the category.

    2. If any offers assigned down the hierarchy prevent the deletion, a Category cannot be deleted dialog gets displayed. Close the dialog and remedy the situation.
