Create a subcategory

The Create subcategory action creates a subcategory of the category currently viewed in Category detail.

  1. Open a 1st or 2nd level category in Category detail.

  2. Click the Create subcategory action at the top of Category detail.

    A Create category dialog opens with fields Parent category 1st level and Parent category 2nd level already filled in with parent categories reflecting the initial category's position. (If a subcategory on the 2nd level is being created, Parent category 2nd level pre-filled value will be None.)

  3. Fill in Category name.

  4. Use the Position in ... field to specify the position of the subcategory within its parent category.

  5. Click Save category to finish subcategory creation.
