Accessibility features

Navigation via keyboard

The Shop can be used to its full extent without the need to use computer mouse or another tracking device. This feature is relevant for:

  • People with physical disabilities who cannot use a mouse.

  • People with visual impairment who cannot see the mouse pointer on the screen.

  • People with chronic conditions, such as repetitive stress injuries (RSI), who should limit or avoid the use of a mouse.

Use the following keys to navigate in the shop:

TAB

Use the Tab key to move focus to the next element in the screen.

ARROW KEYS

Use Arrow keys to move focus between elements in a functional area (menus, dropdown lists etc.)

In lists in the overview tab (e.g. the Offers list) or lists within the detail tab (e.g. Configuration elements in the Offer detail tab):

  • Use the up/down arrow keys to move between list items

  • Use the left/right arrow keys to move between individual elements within list items

In the category tree:

  • Use the up/down arrow keys to move between categories

  • Use the left/right arrow keys to collapse/expand an expandable category (1st or 2nd level); or

    Use the left arrow key to move focus from a non-expandable category (3rd level) to its root category

ENTER

Use the Enter key to activate the focused element, to confirm a selection or typed input.

In lists in the overview tab, use Enter (or Spacebar) to open the list item in the detail tab.

In the Offer detail tab, use Enter (or Spacebar) to expand/collapse the expandable section in focus.

SPACEBAR

Use Spacebar to open dropdown lists, open hyperlinks, toggle check boxes, increase/decrease values in focused fields.

Navigation for the visually impaired

Use the following features in combination with navigation via keyboard:

  • Use screen reader to read out focused elements.

  • Use browser zoom to enlarge the page content. To accommodate the proportionally larger screen elements, the Shop user interface will dynamically switch to the mobile-responsive mode.
